Special Relativity Room

Immersive 3D first-person visualization of special relativity effects in a 20-metre walkway environment. Adjustable velocity slider (0–0.995c) with preset buttons. Displays Lorentz factor γ and real-time length contraction of the room (20 m → contracted length), time dilation (your clock vs room clocks), and photon travel time c = 10 m/s (sim speed). Canvas shows marked pavement (floor markers every 1 m, painted stripes every 5 m with counter), lamp pillars, benches, crate, trees, and station clocks on signboards. Rest-frame cyan wireframe ghost overlay shows uncontracted room geometry for reference. Six toggle options: pause motion, ghost visibility, Terrell view (full photon-arrival optical effect showing apparent rotation and stretching), aberration (light-direction warping only), Doppler shift (red/blueshift tinting with beaming), clock offsets (relativity of simultaneity with leading clocks lagging by β·Δz′/c). First-person mouse-look controls (drag to look around). Room passes by at constant world speed; proper-time integration shows time dilation on dual readouts (your time vs room time). Three.js WebGL with custom shader injection for relativistic optics (per-vertex transformation combining light-delay, length contraction, aberration, Doppler). Teaches Lorentz transformation, reference frames, and counterintuitive optical phenomena.
